What we do
We design, develop and deliver customised e-Learning Solutions via the latest digital delivery devices to optimise convenience and impact of the learning experience. Using National or International subject matter experts, or an organisation’s existing material, we create an e-learning solution for internal or external use.
Internal e-Learning delivers consistent training to large organisations which is available on demand, without dependence on group size, timing or location of a course for trainers or trainees. Training delivery is immediately available, with no loss of productivity and delivered at the pace chosen by trainees themselves.
Online training allows users to complete courses in their own time - thus fitting into work schedules and matching their learning pace. Depending on the course set up, training material can be reviewed as many times as required, and tests re-done until desired level of knowledge is achieved.
Organisations who utilise our service externally, are generally training providers or regulatory bodies who assist in the development of a wider audience or body of people. Developing the course in an e-Learning format enables the organisation to reach an international audience, where any number of users can complete the course rather than being limited by time, travel and room sizes.

Kirsty Chadwick
Director
Kirsty’s passion for learning, developing and training people stems from the start of her career as a secondary school teacher in New Zealand, where she completed a Bachelor of Music and gained her Teaching Diploma. She moved to London for a complete change of direction, embarking upon a career in financial services. During this time she obtained several financial qualifications, including her Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice, and Certificate in Financial Planning. She successfully managed a UK mortgage brokerage for 6 years before moving to Cape Town in 2005. Her passion for teaching and developing people, lead to the establishment of The Training Room Online. In her spare time Kirsty enjoys socialising and spending time with her son.

Derek Peed
Chairman
Derek has extensive experience in financial services, having served on the boards of Metropolitan Holdings and many of its subsidiaries, including several years as joint managing director of Metropolitan Life. He is currently Chief Executive of Lion of Africa Life Insurance Co. and serves as chairman of the board of True South Actuaries & Consultants. He is also a qualified professional executive coach and has coached executives from several companies and government. He has served as a mentor for the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation Fellowship Program since its inception.
Derek is passionate about the digital revolution and the enormous possibilities this affords companies to improve their marketing and training, and reduce their costs.

Andrew Chicken
Production Director
Andrew is an amazing organiser and his uncanny attention to detail makes him invaluable to any production. Over the past 7 years Andrew has shot and edited countless training productions for blue chip companies, making him our resident expert in training solutions and corporate marketing material. Not only does he manage productions, but he often presents them himself as well. Andrew began formal music training practically before he could walk right the way up to university. (UNISA Grd8). He has a natural knack for creating powerful emotional links between visual and auditory elements.

Wesley Cole
Financial Director
Wesley has international experience in a variety of industries, including training, financial and sport in both the UK and South Africa. He has been successful in all his career endeavors, from managing professional sporting teams, to coordinating the training initiatives of large corporate institutions. He constantly strives to meet new challenges and achieve his goals, both personally and professionally. Wesley enjoys keeping active, and loves spending time with friends when he’s not hard at work!

Buff van Westenbrugge
Sales Director
Buff has a back background in Medical Biochemistry and Physiology having studied at Stellenbosch and UCT, however very quickly realised that he wanted to work with people and began his career in the Pharmaceutical Industry with Glaxo Smithkline. A 4year stint ended and Johannesburg calling, Buff left and moved into the Commercial and Industrial Property sector. Buff has led teams of people, been a partner and worked in varying capacities in this sector for the past 20yrs, combining relationship management and financial structuring to deliver suitable solutions for clients. More recently Buff has branched into Electronic healthcare and joined the Training Room Online to role out the new sales and marketing strategy for the company into the corporate sector.
